well it is that time of year when we get our beautiful arachnids hanging in every tree ( don't believe me ? look up next time you walk through some trees )they are our very big golden silk spidergolden silk spiders their bark is much worse than their bite but i don't want to find out so remember keep looking up and try not to freak to much
Dan what out-of-towners might not realize is that this spider, when fully grown is as big across as a good sized hand. And they add to the "Eeeewwww" factor by making their webs across pathways in woods and bushes, narrow backyard spaces. Someplace you usually walk without having to check for a spider that on a good day could carry you off into the weeds. Their position in these walkways, almost always right about face height or not much higher makes them interesting. You walk innocently along and realize in time to stop two millimeters from one. If you're lucky. Try to stick a dollar bill in the web for some perspective...
